Description
Nantes is a very well known type of carrot that matures early to medium early and has a sweet flavour. The root is cylindrical and medium-long with a red-orange colour and rather narrow core. Very tender and crunchy.
Use:
- Enjoy raw as a healthy snack, in salads, in juices or cooked as a side dish.
Advantages of the seed tapes:
- Quick to grow
- No need to plant individual seeds
- The paper tape dissolves easily in the soil
- Plant as one tape
The seed tape needs a well-aerated soil and likes to be watered evenly. One portion contains about 4 running metres of tape (3 x 1.33m) and can grow up to 250 carrots.
