Description

Chard can used like spinach, it is suitable as an accompaniment to fish and meat and also enriches stews and savory cakes. The stems can be used like asparagus, in fact, this plant was also formerly called "the poor man's asparagus". The tender young leaves are delicious served raw as a salad.
