Description

The French "De Barbentane" outdoor variety of aubergines grows 20 to 25 cm long fruit with a shiny black colour. The plants should only be brought outside at the end of May, as they love warmth. In May and June, it is also advisable to cover the aubergines with fleece from time to time.

Our tips:

Aubergines can also be grown in a large pot (approx. 15 litres).
Grow in a warm and sheltered place in the garden, patio, or balcony.
The perfect growing temperature should be consistently above 20° C.
Plants should be hardened off before planting outside.
For a continuous harvest, the aubergines should be picked regularly.
