Bionana Organic Cornflower

The bright blue blossoms of this flower are a very special feast for the eyes and stand out in every garden. They are also used as a medicinal plant and drunk as tea as well as a decorative and tasty addition to salads.

Our tips:

• Easy to grow
• Pre-sowing indoors not recommended
• Germinates in the cold - best to sow outdoors between March and April
• Requires a well-drained, humus-rich, calcareous soil
• It is best to plant it in potting soil mixed with sand
• Usually no fertiliser needed
• Water only after long, dry periods of heat
• Early harvest recommended - cut just below the flower
• Dry the flowers in a dark and cool place
• Weak consumer of nutrients
• True to type seeds
• Suitable for balconies
• Good neighbours: all wildflowers
