The organic codling moth attractant effectively attracts male butterflies. This is accomplished by pheromones which are harmless to children, pets and beneficial insects. To lure the pests away from the apple or pear tree, attach the trap with the attractant to another tree nearby. To reduce an infestation in the following year, the fruits infested with maggots should be collected and disposed of, but not composted.

Note: The BIO Codling Moth Attractant by COMPO is ideal for use in combination with the COMPO Universal Funnel Trap. The attractant can also be used with other commercially available traps. Please follow the instructions for using the trap you choose.

Instructions for use:

• Open the trap as per the instructions - empty and clean it if necessary.
• Carefully open the aluminium sachet with the attractant and place it in the dispenser basket of the funnel trap.
• Avoid touching the attractant with your bare hands or skin - please use gloves and proceed with caution.
• Close the dispenser basket and trap securely.
• Store any remaining attractant in the aluminium sachet in the original packaging in a cool, dark and dry place.
• Depending on the weather, replace the product after 4-6 weeks.
