Description
The Vivaoro bush tomato variety (determinate) bears golden yellow tomatoes with a sweet and sour flavour and appetising texture. The bush-shaped tomato develops many side stems and dense foliage.
Tips & care:
- Field resistant to Phytophthora infestans and therefore suitable for outdoor cultivation without staking.
- Low fertilisation and watering requirements. A regular supply of nutrients and water increases the yield.
- Prefers a sunny, airy location.
- No need to pinch off side shoots.
- Seeds can be sown starting in mid-February after the last frost.
- Pick out the seedlings and repot after the first leaf has formed. The base of the plants should be covered with soil to just below the cotyledons to allow formation of strong roots to.
- After the first harvest, the shoots will gradually lie along on the ground, making it easier to harvest later.
- Plant 60 - 100 cm apart in rows and 100 - 200 cm between the rows (depending on soil type, water supply and harvesting route requirements) or in a pot with a capacity of 8 - 20 litres.
