Esschert Design Bee House

Bees are hardworking, beautiful to look at and extremely important for the environment! They are essential for both people and the natural world. Unfortunately, many wild bee species are threatened by the decline in flora and nesting opportunities. This wonderful apiary was built so that we can make a contribution to the protection of beneficial insects. It is equipped with bamboo straws of different diameters so that different types of wild bees can nest here.

Female bees create little cells in the bamboo straws that they equip with an egg, some pollen and nectar for the larva. This well thought out apiary provides female bees with the perfect place to prepare their nests.

Tip:

• It is best to hang the apiary in a sunny, south-facing location.
• Since bees like tidy corridors, we recommend wiping the bamboo straws clean with the brush provided before hanging up the apiary.
