Description

"Benary's Giant White" zinnias are an ideal as cut flowers - they are the kind of flowers that elevate a simple bouquet to an eye-catching one. The large bright white flowers with a green centre are very showy and attractive. Drought-tolerant.

Tips:

Zinnias have sensitive roots so sow the seeds in containers that can be planted in the garden along with the seedlings.
Test before cutting flowers for the vase: Hold the stem approx. 8 cm below the flower and shake it gently. If the flower no longer wobbles but remains firm and upright, then it is ready to be cut.
Regularly deadheading spent blooms will prolong the flowering period.
