Description

The colourful, ripe beans of this variety are a typical ingredient in Italian cuisine and indispensable in many dishes. The pods can be harvested when they are around 11 to 12 cm long and yellowish in colour.

Tips:

Direct outdoor sowing from May - requires relatively warm soil
Can also be sown in groups (4 to 6 seeds per hole)
Protect with vegetable netting against bean fly infestation
Dry the seeds for storage
Not suitable for eating raw

  Bush beans do not tend to grow large but do grow bushy and can be supported by poles or by triangular tee-pee supports.
