Naturkraftwerk Cotton Growing Set

Cotton is one of the oldest crops humans have planted and grows in a shrubby bush. It looks nice as a houseplant or can be enjoyed in the summer on your patio or balcony.

Contents:

• 5 plant seeds (lat. Gossypium herbaceum)
• 1 compostable coconut pot
• 1 coconut fibre starting pellet
• 1 planting guide

Cultivation:
Let the seeds soak in warm water for about 12 hours. Soak the coconut pellet in the coconut pot with lukewarm water, press the seeds approx. 1 cm into the substrate and keep them regularly moist (not wet) until germination. Add natural fertiliser immediately after germination.
When the plant is approx. 10 cm tall, plant the coconut pot in a larger container.

Location:
Light and warm. In summer it can also be placed outdoors.

Maintenance:
Water regularly and fertilise weekly from May to September. If the air is too dry, spray the plant regularly.

Wintering:
If the seeds of the cotton are sown in spring, the plant dies in autumn after fruit formation. The later in the year it is sown, the later the plant will flower - the cotton bolls will not form until spring. In this case, maintain a temperature of approx. 8-15°C in winter.
