Seramis Special Substrate for Orchids, 7 l

This substrate for orchids is a mix of specially produced larger clay grains, high quality pine bark and trace elements. The loose and open structure ensures optimal ventilation of the sensitive roots and the best water balance. This reliably prevents waterlogging and root rot. An additional source of calcium promotes healthy growth.

Potting and repotting in Seramis special substrate for orchids

1. Water orchids the day before repotting so that the roots are supple. Carefully remove the orchid from the pot and carefully remove the substrate from the roots.
2. Cut off old, dried out, or rotten roots with sharp, clean scissors.
3. First put some Seramis clay granules (approx. 2cm) in a pot (glass) as drainage. Continue to fill with special substrate until the orchid can be inserted at the right height.
4. Place the orchid in the pot with a slight twisting movement and now fill up with the special substrate.
5. So that the substrate can wrap around the roots, tap the pot lightly and fill up as necessary.
