Wildlife World "Tahera" Woven Bird's Nest

"Tahera" is a woven bird's nest that offers a shelter for smaller bird species in your garden that prefer to sleep alone. The nest serves as a safe place to sleep, especially in the cold winter months.

The beautiful bird's nest is made from hogla grass and recycled old saris by artisans in southern Bangladesh. The round entrance is reinforced with steel and extends slightly to make it easier for the birds to land and perch. The nest can be attached to a suitable location with the hooks on the back and the loop at the top.

The ideal location:
Place the bird's nest in a sheltered location where it can withstand a range of weather conditions. Ideally, place it between north and south-east.

• Hogla is a type of grass that grows in Bangladesh and is often used for making baskets and cushions. It is considered a weed and is usually removed by villagers as it can choke harbours, ponds and rivers.
